During the covid years . . .

During the covid years, we had family devotions at home on Sunday mornings. When it was time to share God’s word, I couldn’t get two or three sentences of my broken Twi out before Auntie Comfort, whom we affectionately called Cee Connie, would raise a spirited song and we would all sing together, giving praise to God. I remember Cee Connie for these two songs which were constantly on her lips. A victory song – “Nkunim di bi wo ho ma yen” and a thanksgiving song “Aseda Nka Onyame”. Auntie Comfort was steadfast in her faith and even attended her last church service in person two weeks before her passing. In her final days, with hand gestures, I believe she was giving glory to God and signalling her finished work. God rest her blessed soul. To God be the glory.
