Word of your passing broke my heart. I have known you for as long as I have memories. My neighbour from my pre-school years who seemed to welcome any child on our street to dinner. Your kindness and readiness to share made you a comfort to many. Over many years of friendship, kindness and loyalty, you grew from a family friend into family, our Auntie. Your presence was constant and welcome. I grew to expect your love, encouragement and praise and also accept your correction. Patiently, you moulded my character. You were never shy to call me to order, no matter how big I grew. You told me when I needed to apologise, when I needed to be brave and when I needed to pray. You raised many children, and I am so blessed to be one of them. God blessed me, when you welcomed me into your heart, choosing to be a mother to me. I will forever cherish your memory and remain grateful for the time we had. Rest in peace Auntie Comfort, Rest in perfect peace.
